Your day begins with a hotel pick-up in Arusha and a scenic two hour drive to Kilimanjaro National Park. Upon arrival at the Marangu Gate, you will complete park registration before commencing your guided hike through the lush rainforest.
This beautiful trail offers the chance to encounter unique wildlife, including black-and-white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, and a wide variety of bird species.

Along the way, your guide will provide insightful commentary on the mountain’s ecology, flora, and fauna, while sharing the history and cultural significance of Mount Kilimanjaro. You may also meet climbers descending from the summit, offering inspiring stories of their journey to Africa’s highest peak.

After approximately four hours of trekking, you will reach Mandara Hut (2,700m), where you will rest and enjoy a packed lunch in the tranquil mountain surroundings. A short walk from the hut takes you to Maundi Crater, a breathtaking viewpoint with panoramic vistas of Mount Kilimanjaro and the surrounding landscapes.
