This 3-day safari offers the perfect short escape to explore two of Tanzania’s most iconic destinations. Discover the lush forests and flamingo-filled lake of Manyara, followed by a breathtaking descent into the wildlife-rich Ngorongoro Crater – one of Africa’s natural wonders.

Safari Highlights:
Tree-climbing lions, flamingos, hippos, lush forest
Accommodation: Safari lodge or tented camp in Karatu
Depart from Arusha in the morning and drive to Lake Manyara National Park. This scenic park lies at the base of the Great Rift Valley and offers a mix of forest, lake, and savannah. Look out for elephants, hippos, blue monkeys, and the famous tree-climbing lions.

Afternoon: Enjoy a game drive through the park with a picnic lunch.
Evening: Continue to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Safari Highlights:
Big Five sightings, crater floor game drive, stunning views
Accommodation: Same lodge or tented camp in Karatu
After an early breakfast, descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is a wildlife haven, home to rhinos, lions, elephants, and abundant plains game.

Optional: Picnic lunch inside the crater, followed by continued game viewing.
Evening: Return to your lodge in Karatu for a relaxing evening.

Safari Highlights:
Scenic drive, optional cultural visit
Accommodation: Day room or airport drop-off (optional)
After breakfast, begin your drive back to Arusha. Time permitting, enjoy a cultural visit in Mto wa Mbu village or shop for local crafts.

End of Safari – Drop-off in Arusha or at Kilimanjaro Airport for your onward flight.
